L's Kitchen - Lincoln: Discover Authentic French Cuisine with a Cozy, Home-like Atmosphere

We had a great experience! We felt welcome as soon as we walked through the door. Stepping into this establishment feels like stepping into someone's home. It has a cozy, unpretentious vibe. Upscale food that is reasonably priced. The food and drinks were delicious. We had the Chef Kevin's Chicken and the Hungarian Goulash. Definitely, a hidden gem and one of the best restaurants in South Lincoln because it is unique, the menu & drink options are well thought out, and the employees are friendly, helpful, and professional. We will definitely be back because we want to try more dishes on their menu.

L’s was magnificent and quite French. Why only 4 stars? There was nothing for a vegetarian! I had to compromise and have some salmon with my salad. The food was well presented and flavorful. But if you are a good vegetarian / vegan and can’t be an occasional ovo-lactose pescatarian, this isn’t someplace for you, sad to say.

A Taste of France Right Here! ???????? This French restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, it felt like I had been transported straight back to France. The food was simply top-notch—rich in flavor, beautifully presented, and unmistakably authentic. What made the experience even more special was the chef personally coming out to serve us while also preparing the dishes in the kitchen. That level of passion and dedication really shines through in the food.

We had a great experience at L’s Kitchen! The chef is very personable and told us about each meal he had prepared for the evening. The wait staff made sure we never ran out of our drinks and gave us plenty of time to talk and eat without feeling like we were being rushed out the door. It’s a cute and cozy place with cuisine you don’t typically see around Lincoln. Plus, the food was phenomenal and our leftovers were just as delicious even the next day heated up! Try them out!

Amazing food. Wonderful service. Chef was very personable. Loved everything BUT the ambience/decor. The pictures looked like they were out of a man cave basement, the rugs were torn and ugly, the ceiling tiles need to be changed out from the brown stains. For the price and the class, the restaurant exuberant the inside does not give you the same feel. But we would still definitely go back On a special occasion for the food and service!

I'm going to start by saying L’s Kitchen is probably the best restaurant in town. Chef Lawrence is the real deal. A small but well-thought-out menu that is executed perfectly. The food is outstanding! We were there right at opening at 5:30 don't let the pics of it being not busy deter you. The chef was at our table 2 times, he even cleared our plates! Our server was excellent as well. She knew everything about the menu and answered all questions thoroughly.

My son wanted to take me out for a nice dinner. L's Kitchen was mentioned many, many times! He started with a Cocktail, the Sage Grouse. It is made with Bourbon and he loved it, One whiff and I knew it was not for me . For an app we both decided on the Eggplant Parmesan Bites. I have no idea what kind of wizardry goes into making these but they were full of magical deliciousness. Highly recommend! My Boy Child chose one of the night's specials, the Beef Bourguignon. It's like a beef stew made with red wine. He said it was homey and yummy. Total comfort food that hit the spot. Since we were in a French restaurant I had to go with the Parmesan Mushroom Risotto. Sooooo rich and creamy. A surprise ingredient was the green olives which added a pop of briny saltiness. After 30 minutes of eating it, it still looked like I barely touched the dish and had lots to take home. I don't often get desserts but again, French restaurant, how can you not?! I asked the Boy if he'd split the special Fondant au Chocolat with me. Again very rich, that Whipped Cream was amazing. It may be small but I literally only got halfway through it. He was excited over the Bread Pudding. Absolutely loved it! Tried a bite, too sweet for me. He ended up taking the remainder home and ordered the Chocolate Mousse to go for his woman. Everyone here is very friendly. Chef Lawrence greets every table with an introduction and the Specials. Our server Kathleen was an attentive pro. After we left I realized we never had any of the fresh baked bread I'd seen in other pics and I was kinda sad. Me and bread are like BFFs. Don't know how we missed it! My son declared this place a new favorite and we can't wait to return. Portions are large and price point is Very reasonable for what you receive!

We had our office Christmas party at L's Kitchen. Per usual, Chef Lawrence and staff did not fail. AMAZING service, SUPBERB food, WONDERFUL atmosphere. They were all so accommodating to us. We will definitely have more office events here in the future. Thank you for hosting us and spoiling us! 10 out of 10 stars!!!
